The illustrated rock shelter is located in the Arık (Dera Ser) hamlet of Bağözü village, in the Gercüş district of Batman province, in a location called Berha Kuştiya. Bağözü village is located 81 km south of Batman city center and 22 km southwest of Gercüş district centre.

The figures were carved in the western part of the natural rock shelter, which is 4.00m high, 5.00m deep and 9.80m wide, formed naturally in the limestone rock. Among the engraved figures, there are mountain goat and human figures with bows and arrows in their hands. The figures are stylized and given in a composition. These figures were scratched and destroyed with stones and chalk. These figures inside the bunker are in danger of being lost due to the peeling of the crust of the bedrock and have been destroyed due to the rock structure.
