Illustrated Rock Shelter No. 2 is located 0.25 km southwest of Kumluca village, which is within the borders of Hasankeyf district of Batman province. Kumluca (Mirdese) village is located 21km southeast of Batman city centre, 13.55km west of Hasankeyf town centre.

The illustrated rock shelters that start in the south of the Tigris River are spread over a wide area. A total of five illustrated rock shelters were encountered in this large area. The rock shelter is located on the western slope of the valley to the southwest of Mirdese village. Mountain goat figures, which had been seen before, were observed in the rock shelter. A mountain goat figure, unlike the other rock shelters, is depicted stepping on a ground. There are mountain or rock shelter descriptions (?) in the rock shelter where the mountain goats are located, as in other rock shelters. Apart from this, there is a cross depiction on the lower part of the mountain goat figures. Possibly, this area must have been a valley used by Christians as a place of residence for a while. There are also figures thought to belong to a human, a six-legged animal and a reptile among the figures. The figures are made by scraping technique.
