BESNARİN MOUND

Besnarin Mound, which is within the borders of Beşiri district of Batman province, is located 500m north of Çakıllı (Besnarin) village, which is 28 km southeast of Beşiri district.
There is an old stream bed to the east of the mound, which spans an area of approximately 125m x 105m. During the studies on the mound surface, scattered stones that did not constitute any architectural element and a few ceramic finds whose period could not be determined exactly were found. The surroundings of the mound are used as agricultural land today.
