Rabat Castle is located within the borders of Kozluk district of Batman province. The castle is located 18.06 km northwest of Kozluk district. Rabat Castle was built in a north-south direction on a rock of 1,285 m above sea level, in the north of the Rabat hamlet of Yanıkkaya village.

The castle is spread over an area of 40 m north-south and 83 m east-west. Rabat Castle is in ruins and only a small part of the castle has survived to the present day. The surviving remains are fortification walls, probably built for defensive purposes, on the northeast and northwest slopes of the castle, circular silos and traces of space. The traces of the walls followed by the castle were built in a disconnected form, to the extent allowed by the geographical conditions. With these features, it is thought that the castle was built on a topographic plan.

In the construction of the castle, neat cut stones, rubble stones and cas mortar, which we see frequently in the region, were used. In the examinations made in Rabat Castle and throughout the area, dark green glazed, few blue glazed ceramics, rim and pedestal fragments, sgraffito technique (it is a vase decoration technique. A color is applied on the surface of the container, the desired figures are won with a pointed tip and the original color of the container itself. Then, glaze is applied and the vessel is fired again) and various pottery groups such as decorated ceramic sherds and incised decorated body fragments were observed. Traces of illegal excavations were found in the area and the castle was severely damaged.
