The cisterns are located 1.75 km east of the village of Karayün (Koxika) within the borders of Batman centre. Karayün village is located 6.35 km south of Batman centre.
During the studies carried out in the area, 2 cisterns were identified. The mouth diameter of the cistern 1 is 0.70 m and its current depth is 1.50 m. The cistern starts from the mouth and expands towards the bottom. The mouth diameter of the cistern 2 is 0.55m. Since the cistern is filled with soil, its form and depth are unknown.
The cisterns filled with rubble stone and soil have lost their functions because they have not seen any use today.
