The residence is located in Aydınlı (Qemerinê) village of Gercüş district of Batman province. Aydınlı village is located 30km southeast of Batman center and 13km northwest of Gercüş district center.
The 2-storey house has an "L" plan (Picture 1). The ground floor, which is used as a barn, has a rectangular courtyard. The entrance to the courtyard is provided by the door in the south (Picture 2). There are niches with pointed arches on the eastern walls of the courtyard. The ground floor has 2 sections and its entrances have a portico (Picture 3). The second floor is accessed by a staircase to the west of the portico. The entrance of the second floor faces south and this entrance is rectangular in form with a stone lintel. The second floor consists of 2 rooms with a rectangular plan. There are 2 rectangular niches on the west wall of the room in the west, and 1 rectangular window opening on the north wall. The room in the east has a total of 3 window openings, 1 on the north, south and east walls. There are also rectangular niches on the northwest and southwest walls of the room. The interior of the house is plastered with concrete. The room on the west of the 2nd floor is barrel vaulted, while the one on the east has wooden beams and was built in the form of a flat roof with soil (Picture 4). Cut stone and cas mortar were used in the construction of the house.
