The residence is located in Soğucak (Kaniya Mezın) village, which is 47km southeast of Batman city center and 17km southeast of Hasankeyf district center.

The structure rested on the rocky ground; It is arranged as a courtyard and two floors. The ground floor of the stone-walled building is vaulted, and the upper floor is wooden beamed and earthen flat roof covered. The ground floor is arranged as a barn and the upper floor as a living space. The connection to the second floor is provided by stone steps in the courtyard. Cut stone, rubble stone and cas mortar were used as construction materials in the house.
