Located 1.95km south of Yolağzı village within the borders of Gercüş district of Batman province and known as Kastelun by the locals, the rocky area settlement is located on the hilly area dominating the region. Yolağzı village is located 45km southeast of Batman center and 5.50km southwest of Gercüş district center.

The settlement was carved into the bedrock and it is thought that this settlement was used as a silo. Numerous cisterns, rock dwellings and rock tombs were identified during the studies carried out in the settlement. The inner parts of the cisterns are filled with soil and stones. The rock dwellings were damaged and later used as animal shelters. One rock tomb discovered in the area has a single kline and its interior is half filled with soil.
