The structures in the area known as "Mardinike Mosque" among the people, located at the northeast end of the Lower City, were started to be excavated by Prof. Dr. Oluş ARIK, but after it was left unfinished, it was completed with the excavations carried out under the direction of Prof. Dr. Abdüsselam ULUÇAM (Fig. 1).

Mardinike Complex consists of two blocks. Block I on the north, rectangular in east-west direction, includes the mosque and madrasa located around the courtyard with a portico, and sections designed for different purposes in other parts (Fig.2), (Fig. 3), II. The block consists of entrance courtyard, minaret, mosque, zawiyah, soup kitchen, inn, monumental tombs and ceramic workshops.
