Şeyh Mahmut Tomb is located in Yukarıkıratlı (Barıştım) village of Kozluk district of Batman province. The village is located 10.10km southeast of Kozluk center, and the Tomb is approximately 1km southwest of the village.

Şeyh Mahmut Tomb, located in the modern cemetery of Yukarıkıratlı village, has a square plan with the dimensions of 6.90x6.00 m. The tomb consists of two sections, the burial section in the north and the masjid section in the south. The entrance to the Sheikh Mahmut Tomb is through the door opening in the east. The masjid section is covered with an east-west oriented dome and there are lighting openings in the dome made in a square shape. There are 3 window openings in total, 1 in the south and 2 in the north of the masjid. The burial section is rectangular in plan and has no upper cover. Inside the burial section, there is a grave surrounded by iron railings and tied with rags. There is also a second door opening to the northwest of the burial area, which provides the entrance to the burial area.
