Gavs Şeyh Halil Visiting area is located in the center of the town of Kayapınar (Aynkaf) in Gercüş district of Batman province. Kayapınar town is located 19km west of Gercüş district.

Gavs Sheikh Halil Visit consists of a courtyard, a mosque and three places. The entrance and courtyard of the visitor face east. Access to the masjid and the places where the cist graves are located in the visiting area is provided by a rectangular courtyard (Fig. 1). (Fig. 2) The entrance of the masjid faces the east courtyard. The masjid shows the feature of a rectangular plan. The section with the cist graves consists of three rooms and the entrances of the spaces face east. The entrance area and the middle space were made with modern materials; however, the westernmost place was built from the limestone found in the region. There is one cist grave in the entrance area and 8 cist graves in the middle area (Picture 3). To the west of the central space is the place where the tomb of Sheikh Halil is located. At the top of the entrance, in a square-shaped area, Arabic inscriptions are in relief decoration (Picture 4). The space has a rectangular plan, extending in the north-south direction. There are four cist graves inside the place (Picture 5). The ceiling of the place is domed. A separate section with a barrel vault was created with an arched entrance in the north of the space. There is a cist grave in this section. It is observed that this place is the main place of the tomb, and the places in the east were added later with modern materials.
