The illustrated rock shelter is located on the rocky area dominating the region, south of the Otlu (Dercine) hamlet of Doruk village, in the Gercüş district of Batman province. Doruk village is located 82 km south of Batman city center and 23 km west of Gercüş district centre.

The figures were made with the scraping technique and were carved into the natural rock shelter. Among the figures processed, there are mountain goat, deer, human figures holding hands (probably thought to be a ceremonial scene), vegetal and geometric motifs. Figures and motifs are stylized. These motifs and figures in the natural rock shelter are in danger of being lost due to the peeling of the crust of the main rock.
