Girhavik Höyük is located within the borders of Taşlıdere (Hole) village in Batman province Kozluk district. The mound is located 1.6km northwest of Taşlıdere village, just east of the Batman dam site. Taşlıdere village is located 20.55 km west of Kozluk district.

During the studies conducted in the area, ceramic pieces dating to the Middle Ages and many brick pieces probably used in the upper cover were seen in the mound area. Rubble stones, which did not form any architectural structure, were encountered on the hill and slopes of Girhavik Höyük. There are many traces of illegal excavations in the mound area. Today, the mound is surrounded by wire mesh and its slopes are used as agricultural land.
