Gre Hanik 1, located approximately 6.5km west of Batman province, 1.5km north of Balpınar town and 650m northeast of Yeniköy, has a height of approximately 4m.

A high voltage line passes near the western skirt of the mound. There are illicit digging pits made by treasure hunters on the mound. Some pits are 3-4m wide and 1.50m deep. Architectural elements made of regular rectangular stones and bricks were observed in these pits. As a matter of fact, a large amount of brick fragments were found in the destruction pits and on the surface of the mound. Apart from the treasure hunters' pits on the mound, there is a well dug for water on the northern skirts of the mound. Agricultural works are carried out on the slopes of the mound.
