Karşıyaka Höyük is located 160 m east of Zugut Stream, located in Karşıyaka (Derşiwan) village center within the borders of Kozluk district of Batman province. Karşıyaka village is located 8.30 km southeast of Kozluk town.

Karşıyaka village settlement was established on the mound area. Therefore, the mound is heavily damaged. A large number of ceramic pieces, a piece of pipe and obsidian pieces were found in the study carried out in the mound area. Due to the destruction, the boundaries of the mound are not clear, but considering the area where the surface finds are spread, it spreads over an average of 61 m east-west and 57 m north-south. Its height is about 15m. The western slope of the mound is partially used as agricultural land. There is a great deal of natural and human destruction on the mound. The mound area is the common property of the villagers.
