Mirdese Castle is located approximately 20km southeast of Batman province, 14km west of Hasankeyf, at an altitude of 0.54km above sea level. The castle was built on an area of 57 m east-west and 110 m north-south.

There are no remains of fortification walls in the castle, which was built on a natural rocky area for defense. At the top of the castle, where there are many residences and cisterns, there are rectangular-plan houses close to the square, the foundations of which are connected to the rock as much as the rocky areas allow, the upper walls are formed by independent blocks, and there are examples of single-spaced rock dwellings carved into the rock on the slopes of the hill.
