Hasankeyf Castle lower valley is located within the borders of Hasankeyf district of Batman province. The valley is located 325 m west of Hasankeyf center and 100 m southeast of Hasankeyf Castle.

There are many rock dwellings in the valley. Some of the rock houses were built higher than the ground and some were built as two floors. The two-storey rock houses are connected to each other by a step system. The rock houses are divided into single space rock houses, complex rock houses and multi-storey rock houses. Almost all of the rock dwellings were used as animal shelters and warehouses in the later periods.
