Öğütlü village is located within the borders of Hasankeyf district of Batman province, 16.65 km east of Hasankeyf.

The rock-carved houses in the settlement area in Öğütlü village show two different plan types. These are single-space and complex-space examples. During the studies carried out in the village, 5 single-spaced and 10 complex-spaced rock houses were identified.

In addition, there are 6 single-space residences on the southwest slopes of the village, and 10 more complex-spaced rock residences on the northeast slope. While the complex rock dwellings are approximately 9.00x7.00 m in size, with niches on the walls and separate sections for animals; single-spaced rock dwellings are the types of dwellings with an average of 7.00x4.00 m dimensions, which also have niches on the walls and are used only as living spaces.
