TABYA HILL ROCK TOMB

The rock tomb is located southeast of Tabya Hill. Tabya Hill is located 1.30 km southeast of Hasankeyf district center. To the west of the Zevruney Valley, Tabya Hill is located on a high, rocky area overlooking the surrounding area.
The tomb is reached by a road formed by carving the rock in the form of a corridor, descending with steps in the southeast of Tabya Hill. Inside the rock tomb, there are six two-story tombs with arcosolium (a tomb cell with an arch on top) carved into the walls, and two tombs with a khamasorion (stone cist) carved into the ground of the cemetery.
