The cemetery is located in the area known as the "Köyiçi" locality in the region within the borders of the Arık (Dera Ser) hamlet of the Boğözü village of the Gercüş district of Batman province. Bağözü village is located 81 km south of Batman city center and 22 km southwest of Gercüş district centre.

The boundaries of the cemetery, which spreads over a wide area, are not clear. Some of the scattered graves are bordered by irregular stones. The hamlets, surrounded by irregular stones, are rectangular and oval in form. The tombs are oriented east-west. There are collapsed and broken witnesses next to the graves with intact foot and head witnesses. In general, one of the headstones made of cut stone was found in the form of a headstone. No inscriptions and decorations were found on the tombstones. There is destruction in the cemetery area that has been left neglected.
