The Merkez Mosque is located on Cami Street in the Beşiri district of Batman province. The inscription on the minaret of the mosque, which is stated as 1926 on the plate above it, contains the date 1968 (H. 1386).

The rectangular planned, single-domed mosque located in the south of the courtyard was built with smooth cut stones and its outer surface was plastered with concrete mortar. The sanctuary was decorated with modern tiles and hand-drawn ornament art in the modern period. Its dome is supported by four internal columns and is placed on an octagonal drum. The minaret, located in the northwest corner, is accessed from the sanctuary. The minaret has a square base, cylindrical body and a single balcony. The lighting openings in the body of the minaret are made in the form of stars. Cut stones were used in the construction of the minaret and the stones are painted today. The mosque was repaired in later periods and is still in use.
