The monastery is located in the center of Nurlu village in Gercüş district of Batman province. Nurlu village is located 53 km southeast of Batman center and 13 km east of Gercüş district centre. Today, there are only 2 churches belonging to this monastery. There is a great deal of destruction in the monastery. Stone houses reflecting traditional civil architecture were built on the monastery. Most of the stones belonging to the monastery were used as spolia in the construction of the houses in the village.

Church no. 2 is located just south of church no. 1 (Picture 1). Its narthex is in the west and has a rectangular form (Picture 2). The western part of the church, which consists of 2 sections parallel to the apse, has a rectangular plan (Picture 3). (Picture 4) The eastern part is accessed through 2 entrance openings in the western part. The south entrance is now closed. The places built later in the north and south of the eastern section narrowed this section. The upper cover of the apse in the east is semi-domed, semi-circular and does not protrude (Picture 5). There is also a round-arched blind niche above the apse. Except for the apse, the church, whose top cover is barrel vaulted, is used as a barn today, and cut stone, rubble stone and cas mortar were used in its construction.
