The church is located in the valley 600 m west of Dikmetaş (Arziving) hamlet of Çakipinar (Tonisor) village in Sason district of Batman province. Çakipinar village is located 23km northeast of Sason district.

The church, which is placed on a rocky ground on a small hilly area, was arranged in an east-west direction with a size of 6.01m x 4.40m, rectangular in plan and a single nave. The entrance part of the church is located on the western façade, which is in ruins today. The upper cover and the facade walls of the church, which is covered with a barrel vault, are in good condition. There is a window opening on the south wall of the rectangular planned prayer area in the east-west direction, and an apse on the east wall. The apse was made in the form of a semicircle from the inside, protruding outward. There are two symmetrical rectangular niches on the north and south walls of the apse, and a rectangular crenellated window opening on the east wall of the apse. On the north and south walls of the worship area, there are many cross motifs made with scraping technique.

Cut stone, rubble stone and cas mortar were used as building materials, and red brick was used in the vault section of the church. Many tombs made of flat stones without witnesses were found around the church, which was exposed to natural and human destruction. No inscriptions or decorations were found on the tombstones.
