Beksi Church is located in Şahinli hamlet of Dere village, which is within the borders of Sason district of Batman province. Şahinli Village is located 6km northwest of Sason district.
The church is under a house used today and has a single nave in east-west direction and consists of a naos and an apse. The church entrance is provided from the destroyed narthex on the south wall. There are cross motifs made with scraping technique on the south and north walls of the narthex. It is passed from the narthex to the naos. The naos has a rectangular plan and there are 4 round-arched niches on the north wall and 1 round-arched niche on the south wall. Niches have been largely destroyed. There is also a rectangular crenellated window on the western wall of the naos. To the east of the naos is an apse made in a half-round shape. The apse is kept high from the naos and the transition to the apse is made through the pointed arched entrance. The upper cover of the church is vaulted from the inside. From the outside, it is not known because there is a house on it. Beksi church was built using regular and irregular stones using cas mortar. The stones with motifs belonging to the building were used as spolia material in the construction of the upper floor. In addition, there are cross motifs and destroyed motifs on the exterior of the church.
