The church is located on a hill overlooking the region, 200m northeast of Dağçatı village of Sason district of Batman province. Dağçatı village is located 84 km northeast of Batman city center and 20 km north of Sason town centre.
The church, whose narthex is unknown, was built in east-west direction with a single nave. The naos area has a rectangular plan feature. There are four blind niches with round arches made symmetrically to each other on the north and south walls of the church. These niches are half filled with earth.
The apse to the east of the church has a half-round plan. There is a window opening on the east wall of the apse, and a niche on each of the north and south walls.
The church was built with a barrel vault from the inside and a flat roof from the outside. On the ceiling of the church, pipes were used for acoustic purposes and to lighten the weight of the top cover. Cut stone, rubble stone and cas mortar were used in the construction of the church. There is general destruction in the church.
