Mill number 1 is located approximately 400m north of Yayladüzü (Gundika Kelo) village, which is within the borders of Gercüş district of Batman province. Yayladüzü village is located 30km south of Batman by bird flight and 23km northwest of Gercüş district center (Picture 1).

The building, which expands transversely on masonry rubble stone on a sloping ground, was arranged as a single storey and single space. The rectangular planned structure in the north-south direction has a flat roof covered with barrel vaulted earth. The grinding area, water tower and water arc of the building, whose top cover and body walls are mostly intact, have survived to the present day. The grinding room is provided by a rectangular, flat stone lintel door opening on the west façade (Picture 2). There is a grinding area with a lower ground code in the southern part of the space, where the crenellated window openings are located on the south and west facades, and there is a water reservoir operating the mechanism under the grinding forehead. Grinding water for the mechanism comes from the southeast corner of the room and exits from the southwest corner after operating the mechanism (Picture 3). (Picture 4) There is a water tower in the southeast of the grinding area. The inside of the water tower was plastered with cas; plaster has been largely shed. Water is carried to the water tower by the arc to the east (Picture 5). (Picture 6) The mill, which used cut stone, rubble stone and cas mortar as construction materials, has lost its function and is not used today.
