The cisterns are located on the eastern slope of the rocky area called Gevrasor Hill, to the west of the Meymuniye Bosphorus, 13 km southeast of the city center of Batman. In the inventory study carried out in the area, 25 cisterns were identified.

The cisterns found on the Gevrasor Hill are located in close proximity to each other. The cisterns carved into the bedrock are round in shape. The cisterns found in the area have a rounded mouth and a feature that expands deeply in the interior. There are traces of lids made to cover the mouth of the cisterns. These cisterns, which are not in use today, were filled with earth and rubble stones. The cisterns are generally damaged and they have lost their functions.
