BEŞİRİ BRIDGE MOUND

The mound is located in the north of İkiköprü Gendarmerie Command in İkiköprü town, 7km northeast of Beşiri district. The diameter of the spreading area of the mound is 140m; however, only 60 m of the mound was preserved, as a road ran through the middle of the mound.
As a result of the survey carried out on and around the mound, ceramic finds and worked obsidian tools were observed. Based on the findings in question, we can say that the mound was inhabited from the earliest Chalcolithic Period until the end of the Middle Ages.
