Gavur Valley is located within the borders of Hasankeyf district of Batman province. The valley is located 1.5 km southwest of Hasankeyf district center.

Many rock dwellings were observed during the studies carried out in the area. Kaya coves are divided into single-spaced rock dwellings and complex rock dwellings. The rock dwellings show similar architectural features. Complex rock dwellings consist of front entrance and main space. They show similar plan features in single-space rock subjects. There are niches on the walls of the rock dwellings for placing goods and oil lamps. The rock dwellings exposed to destruction have lost their functions.
