ATLIHAN HAMLET ROCK MOSQUE

Atlıhan hamlet of Hasankeyf county, Batman province; It is located 8.75 km southeast of the Kantar Bridge and 4.00 km east of the Akarca hamlet.

The mosque, carved into the rock, has two floors and has an average of 5.00x4.00m dimensions and 2.80m height. The lower and upper floors have the same plan scheme. There are lamp niches and benches where books or sacred objects are placed on the east, north and south walls of the mosque, which has a mihrab and a small representative minbar on the south wall. The western parts of both floors of the two-storey rock mosque, whose entrance is probably located on the west, are almost completely destroyed.
