It is located in Hasankeyf District, in the middle of the Lower City, in the area called the Central Excavation Site. In 1985, Prof.Dr. During the 2010 excavation period, Prof. Dr. Studies continued under the chairmanship of Abdüsselam ULUÇAM.

Since there is no inscription, it is not known when and by whom it was made. However, with its architectural and ornamental features, XII. century refers to the Great Seljuk Period.

The place of worship of the mosque with a monumental courtyard consists of a rectangular-planned harim shaped in the east-west direction. The large iwan, located in the middle of the main axis of the mosque-harim area, opens to the courtyard in the north. Stone materials were used on the iwan walls, which underwent repairs in various periods. It is thought that the two rooms placed on both sides of the iwan were designed in the same period as the building. To the east and north of the mosque are architectural units with courtyards, each of which is focused on itself. It is thought that these are structures designed as a madrasa, soup kitchen, zawiya and inn, which are contemporary of the mosque or added later.
