The church is located on a hill overlooking the region, 3km northeast of Ambarlı (Kırdamok) hamlet of Dörtbölük (Cemelan) village of Sason district of Batman province. Dortbölük village is located 95km northeast of Batman city center and 30km north of Sason county centre.

The church was built on a rectangular area measuring 6.60 m in east-west direction and 9.60 m in north-south direction on a rocky area. The church consists of two parts, a north-south oriented narthex and a naos part. The narthex section, whose entrance faces west, has a rectangular plan close to the square and the upper cover has been completely destroyed. There are cross motifs made with scraping technique from the south wall of the narthex section.

The naos area is accessed through the entrance opening on the south wall of the narthex section. There are cross motifs made with scraping technique in the interior of the entrance to the naos. The naos section has a rectangular plan. The top cover was completely destroyed, and the western wall was partially destroyed. The apse part of the church has been destroyed due to destruction. Rubble stone, cut stone and cas mortar were used in the construction of the church. There are cross motifs made with scraping technique in the rocky area to the west of the church. Today, the church is heavily damaged.
