The church is located in the canyon valley, approximately 200m south of Hasankeyf Castle, in the center of Hasankeyf district in Batman province.

The church, located on the eastern slope of the valley, was carved into the bedrock with the dimensions of 5.00x5.50 m, and was arranged in a rectangular plan close to the square in the north-south direction and with a single nave. The north and west façade walls of the church, whose top cover completely collapsed due to erosion and fractures in the bedrock, were covered with rubble stones in the later periods.
